S. and I just wanted to say how much we enjoy living at The Douglas. It's hard to believe it was a year already in May, since we moved in. We especially like the big bright windows and spacious floor plan. We love having 2 bedrooms and it's a Bonus to have all the appliances including ensuite laundry and an elevator. The building is quiet and landscaped and maintained beautifully, by Trevor. The other tenants are friendly and welcoming. What attracted us to The Douglas was its location; in a mature neighborhood, close to everything we need: shopping, pharmacy, bank, fuel, a variety of restaurants and even the Hospital. We look forward to many more years here.

Just a wee Note of Thanks to Michael and Trevor, our OWNER  AND MANAGEMENT TEAM here at The Douglas, our favorite "PLACE TO CALL HOME." All of our amenities are included in our rent, this includes, TV, internet, telephone service,  window coverings and of course, Air Conditioning and heat in winter, our appliances and washer and dryer are also included. Our neighbours become our friends, we connect with them during cards and coffee times in our lovely common room. This property is kept in pristine condition and I recommend that you consider "The Douglas" as your new location in your retirement.

The Douglas, a place to call home!...Living at The Douglas has been very enjoyable and a place that is a very clean, quiet, safe and friendly senior community. Close to amenities which is so convenient.  A great place to live!

I moved into the Douglas apartments, in early June 2022, shortly after it opened. I had been looking at my options to downsize, in Owen Sound, before choosing this location. Having my own laundry room with my own furnace and hot water, and knowing I control my heat and air is a great feature. Also having only one payment a month with all utilities including, TV, Internet and phone with long distance calling included was the icing on the cake for me.  It is located in a friendly neighbourhood and close to all amenities including a nearby bus stop. I also like that the Douglas has an elevator and all safety features needed to aid senior adults as they are needed. We have a common room where we can meet for coffee, games, puzzles etc. There is also a lending library here as well. This can be booked for private events as well.  Everyone knows each other here, and are friendly and caring. The building is well-maintained and cared for, and any question asked gets a quick response. I could not have made a better choice than moving into the Douglas as it fit all my needs.
